Birch is a strong, close-grained, high-density wood of North America and northern Europe, yellowish white to brown in color.  The wood is mostly white but as it nears the core will show brown flame patterns, with white sap edges, quite dramatic. The Birch we select is often Yellow Birch which shows a nice curl pattern. All the wood finishes are semi-gloss.
